Saturday night saw the third and final chef sessions fundraising dinners. Chefs Roy Brett and Tony Singh wowed us with the best curry in Currie ever!
Haggis Pakora and a Champagne reception sponsored by W1M Wealth Management in breakout was a great way to start the evening. What followed was exceptional! Sour tamarind and lentil broth, samosa chana chaat, chicken tikka masala and phirni with roast apple. Those who were there will testify to the quality of the incredible meal we were served.
Fine wines and beer, great company and a buzzing clubhouse is what it’s all about and why we’re all Chieftains.
Along the way, we had a raffle, and amazing auction and some great entertainment from Willie Allan MBE. His ability to crack jokes and convince you to bid on something you don’t need all in one sentence is quite something!
Massive thanks to everyone who came, donated spent and had fun!
It was great to see 10 of our U18 girls and boys helping on the night as these players are the future of Currie Chieftains.
Over three fundraising dinners, Roy, with help from Tony Singh, Martin Wishart and Rishis (Newhaven) have defied the odds in feeding 290 people from a kitchen which is needing a major upgrade! These dinners have raised over £40,000 for our club!
As we bid farewell, it’s important to thank Roy and Karin Brett, Donna Collins, Kate Dyble and Kirsteen Phillips, Scott Gammie and countless others without whom, these dinners could not have happened. It’s now time for them to focus on the day jobs!
Thanks all
The Chef Sessions Team
